Could Your Relationship Survive An Affair?
Unless you have been living under a rock for the last weeks,
you are probably aware that Tiger Woods is unable to teach me golf anymore. I
am so glad my caddie took the picture I included on this post, because I am
certain that is the last time Tiger will be playing golf or seen in public with
me for a while. Don’t you agree?
I think one of the problems in our society is that we put
these men and women in a pedestal simply because they can hit more homeruns,
dunk or shoot more basketballs, or score more touchdowns. In the case of Tiger,
he happens to be the number one golfer in the planet.
And when these so called "role models" let us down
we want to crucify them. Remember what Al Pacino said in the movie Scarface?
Pacino playing Tony Montana said and I quote "In this country, first
jou get the money, then jou get the power, then jou get the women". In
some cases is true, some women like powerful men, so I am sure there are ladies
out there waiting for an opportunity to get closer to people like Tiger.
And obviously, it seems he missed the memo that said when
you become famous your personal life is played out 24/7 in front of the
cameras. So called celebrities may or may not like the attention when the shiot
hit the fan, but in my opinion that is the price they have to pay when us the
consumers are making them millions. And nowadays with so much money offered to
some of these women to talk, it is impossible for any of these “transgressions”
to stay quiet.
There are already rumors that Tiger is getting his wife a
“Kobe Special”. A Kobe Special actually means a large gift a man gives to his
wife to appease her after he's had an affair.
After an affair, not all relationships break up or end in divorce. People get hurt, people hate, people want to flee. And it is easy for some of us to say, screw it I want out. But is walking away from the relationship the only answer? Not easy to get over the ultimate betrayal.
